Once the system has been initialized, you must use the MVS™ command to VARY the printer online. Then enter the $S PRT(nnnn) command to start this printer. If the initialization statement specifies SETUP=HALT, JES2 issues the $HASP190 message, which specifies what output characteristics were specified during initialization. You should verify that the output characteristics of your printer match the output characteristics specified on the initialization statement. Then reenter the $S command to activate this device.
