Saved preference sets description

Saved preferences allow you to save commonly used options to be used anytime you use Fix Central. A preference set stores all of the options that are used to create an order, except for your system passwords. When loading a preference set, a new order is created with all options prefilled from the values saved in your preference set. You may have multiple saved preference sets, including one as your default preference set.

Creating a preference set

Preference sets are created based on completed orders. To create a preference set:

  1. Place an order with Fix Central.
  2. From the Order details page, click the "Create a new preference set" link under "IBM i options" in the right navigation panel. The "Create a new preference set" page will be displayed.
  3. Specify a unique name for the new preference set. You may also specify whether you want this preference set to be your default.
  4. Click "Continue" to add the new preference set to your profile.
Working with preference sets

Using the "Work with my saved preference sets" page, you can load, view, or delete your existing preference sets, or change your default preference set. You can access this page by selecting "Work with my saved preference sets" from the "IBM i options" box in the right navigation panel.

All of the preference sets associated with your profile will be listed. Select the radio button next to the preference set you want to work with and click "Load", "View", "Delete", or "Make default" to perform the required task.

Loading a preference set

From the "Work with my saved preference sets" page, select the radio button next to the preference set you want to load, and click the Load button. The "Download options" page will be displayed, and the fixes and other options stored in the preference set will be preselected. You may make changes or click Continue to proceed with placing a new order.
