The following resources are offered by IBM to further assist with remote learning. Note that while some of these resources are focused towards higher education learners, many are also applicable to high schoolers interested in careers in technology.
The IBM Academic Initiative encourages faculty, students and researchers at accredited academic institutions to leverage IBM tools, courses and other resources in the classroom. We provide easy, no-cost access to the tools you need to develop the next great thing.
Open P-TECH is a free, digital education experience launched by IBM to equip students, aged 14-20, and educators with foundational knowledge about topics like cybersecurity, AI and cloud computing, as well as professional skills like Design Thinking and Agile.
Teacher Advisor With Watson provides teachers with a curated collection of high-quality resources for K-8 math, including lesson plans, strategy videos and other support materials. These resources, combined with the power of Watson, can help teachers more efficiently plan lessons suitable for all their students.
Girls who witness women in STEM careers are more likely to go into those fields. We’re working to make sure they do by providing resources for teachers, parents, and students.
IBM SPSS® Statistics is a powerful statistical software platform. It delivers a robust set of features that lets you extract actionable insights from its data. We are extending SPSS Statistics Subscription trial for active and new accounts through June 15. We will also amend current SPSS Statistics Campus agreements to allow virtual computing and/or home use of SPSS Statistics at no additional cost. IBM Watson Media provides live video streaming services that you can use to broadcast to large classrooms or to broadcast virtual assemblies. You can also share videos on-demand with your class.
IBM Enterprise Design Thinking is a framework for human-centered problem solving. Grounded in empathy and collaboration, it’s an engaging way for teachers to activate groups of students in a virtual class setting. IBM’s online resources include video learning modules and a toolkit of activities designed for dispersed groups to collaborate together around a human problem. We’ve made these IBM Enterprise Design Thinking resources available for free.
