Question & Answer
Question
Is there any guidance on configuring the message bus probe for the WebSocket and webhook transports?
Answer
There is a Support's guide to the message bus probe WebSocket and webhook.
The main WebSocket Transport settings are:
webSocketURI=<path#1>
webSocketPersistentURI=<path#2>
webSocketSubProtocol=
webSocketSubscribeMessage=
webSocketRefreshMessage=Ping
webSocketRefreshInterval=60
webSocketPersistentURI=<path#2>
webSocketSubProtocol=
webSocketSubscribeMessage=
webSocketRefreshMessage=Ping
webSocketRefreshInterval=60
The probe property file defines the target Host and Port and given here:
Probe property settings:
Host : '{Host}'
Port : {Port}
Host : '{Host}'
Port : {Port}
Transport properties:
webSocketURI={webSocketURI}
webSocketURI={webSocketURI}
The probe constructs the WS URI from these.
Given WebSocket URI:
ws://{Host}: {Port} {webSocketURI}
Given WebSocket URI:
ws://{Host}: {Port} {webSocketURI}
The best way to configure the message bus probe is through referencing the WebSocket's service manual provided by the vendor.
Review specific message bus probe configurations, such as iDrect Pulse, for probe syntax guidance, and the default property files for available configuration settings.
Refer to the message bus probes manual and the Support's Guide to the Message bus probe WebSocket and webhook for further guidance.
