Abstract
What is an IBM Content Platform Engine 5.2 Feature Pack?
Body
The IBM Content Platform Engine "fix packs" 5.2.0.1-P8CPE-FP001 & 5.2.0.2-P8CPE-FP001 are being called feature packs because they include both "fixes" and "feature" enhancements. The feature pack readme files contain short descriptions of these new enhancements, but if you were looking for more detailed information, there have been several technotes released that describe these enhancements in detail. Below is a list of the "feature" enhancements with a short description and links to the related technotes that have detailed information.
Feature content of 5.2.0.1-P8CPE-FP001
IBM Content Foundations Support added to ACCE
Process Configuration Console (PCC) and Process Administrator (PA) integration
Transfer Workflow capability
IBM Connections Support
New Connections Add-on: User Identity Mapping - 2 new integer properties (ClbLastModifierIndex, ClbCreatorIndex) hold indexes that are used to look up a user's SID in a new user identity mapping table. Allows the maintaining of a permanent unique value instead of the short name which may change or be reassigned over time.
API Enhancement: User Access Token Cache Flush - API method to force flush of user access token. This forces CPE to query the Directory Server to retrieve a user's group membership. An API caller may cause the cache to be flushed by requesting a new pseudo-property @ExpireUAT, when retrieving the user from Content Platform Engine.
Configuration Enhancement: New Connections directory provider type CmDirectoryConfigurationConnections - Directory type to be used exclusively for IBM Lotus Connections integration. No longer need to set JVM property (-Dibm.filenet.security.vmmProvider.waltzImpl=true) to indicate Connections directory is in use.
All three features above are documented in Techdoc # 1636386
