Procedures for installing the PCI-X adapter on the xSeries 306 server.

Text from the audio portion of installing the PCI-X adapter movie

To install a PCI-X adapter:

  1. Install an adapter card into the riser assembly if required.
  2. Position the riser card assembly over the connector on the system board. While aligning the tabs on the assembly with the slots on the rear frame seat the riser card into the connector.
  3. Tighten the captive screw.
  4. Install the cover:
    1. Position the cover over the server, while aligning the posts on the cover with the cutouts in the chassis.
    2. Slide the cover to the front and secure with the single thumbscrew.
