Explanation

The volume readable status column (READABLE) in the row in the volume or tape volume table in the optical configuration database for volume volser contains an invalid value. The valid values are:

The volume label cannot be read.

System action

During initialization, OAM discovered that the volume readable status column (READABLE) for this optical volume or tape volume volser in the optical configuration database was incorrect. To allow OAM initialization to continue, OAM set the volume readable status column (READABLE) for this volume to 'Y' signifying that the volume is readable.

If your installation wants the volume to be marked readable, do nothing.

If your installation does not want the volume to be marked readable, then:

  1. Stop OAM.
  2. Using SPUFI (SQL Processing Using File Input) under DB2I (DB2® Interactive), change the volume readable status column (READABLE) for volume volser in the volume or tape volume table in the optical configuration database to 'N'.
  3. Start OAM.
