- If you manually entered the START JES2 command, check it. If the
command is in error, reenter it correctly.
- Enter a DISPLAY JOBS,LIST command to look for tasks on the started
task queue. In the display message IEE104I or IEE105I, look for STARTING
in place of a job or step name. (Note that STARTING can also appear
if the system cannot locate the procedure specified on a START command.)
If STARTING appears, reenter the START JES2 command.
- If JES2 still fails to initialize, re-IPL the system. Disable
exits 0 and 19, if present, and any exits changed since the last JES2
start. The error causing the problem is probably in a changed exit.
If the system programmer asks for problem data, do the following,
as requested:
- Restart JES2 with the LIST option. This option writes the JES2
initialization stream to the device defined on the JES2 procedure.
- Restart JES2 with the following trace identifiers enabled: 1,
2, 3, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, and 20.
- Turn on the DEBUG facility.
