Message List

The message list displays information about the orders and messages within a queue and allows you to operate them.

Each line in the message list consists of
  • An icon representing the message status together with the message attributes (see Table 1).
Hovering with the mouse over the message status icon shows the name of the status and the current message attributes in parenthesis.
  • Sequence number
This is a combined representation of the order and message sequence numbers in the format orderSN.msgSN.
  • Msg Type
This is either the SWIFTNet FIN or the MX message type of the message.
  • Transaction Reference
Contains the transaction reference of a FIN message, which is the content of either field 20 or field 20C.
  • Application Reference
Contains the application reference of a FIN message, which is the content of field 108
  • Local Address
In case of SWIFTNet FIN the BIC12 or in case of InterAct the distinguished name.
  • Remote Address
In case of SWIFTNet FIN the BIC12 or in case of InterAct the distinguished name.
  • Msg ID
Contains the FTM SWIFT message id.
Messages in printing queues can have any of the following states:
Table 1. Message Printing message list states
Icon Description Possible Attributes
clock symbol Pending: The message is waiting for the corresponding order to close (either when the order is filled up, by timeout or when released). Unassigned: The message is waiting to be dispatched. The message is not associated with an order so far.

Deleted: The pending message was previously deleted.

empty bar symbol Ready for Printing: The order of the message is closed and the message is prepared to get printed (but printing has not yet started, for example, if the queue is stopped). Error: The message did previously encounter an error and is going to be reprinted.

Deleted: The message was previously deleted.

half filled bar symbol Printing: The message is currently being printed (or reprinted). Error: The message did previously encounter an error and is now reprinted.

Deleted: The message was previously deleted.

filled bar symbol Printed: The message was in the state 'Awaiting Confirmation' (which means it was already printed). This 'Printed' state is reached when other messages in the same order are currently reprinted. As soon as the other messages finish reprinting, the state will change back to 'Awaiting Confirmation'. Deleted: The message was previously deleted. This combined state is reached if another message in the same order was reprinted.
box with pause symbol Awaiting Confirmation: The message was printed, but since confirmation is active for the queue, it is waiting for a user to confirm it. Deleted: The message was previously deleted.
Circled arrow symbol Reprinting: The message is currently in the process of being reprinted (but printing has not started). This state applies to messages which were previously waiting for confirmation and the 'reprint' action was issued for this message or order. Deleted: The message was previously deleted.
Warning shield symbol In Error: During print processing the message encountered an error (check the event service). To leave this state, fix the problem, then stop and start the queue again. Deleted: The message was previously deleted and the queue is stopped.
Attributes are additional information about a message. The following table shows the existing combinations of attributes and states as well as the actions which are possible under such conditions:
