There is no limit to what you can download from IBM through Power Skills Academy, as long as you follow the usage terms that you agreed to upon successful registration.

Registered Educators (as defined in the IBM Power Skills Academy Usage Agreement) who successfully download IBM courses, may make copies for eligible academic use for teaching, learning, and non-commercial research at the degree-granting academic institution. The offerings may not be distributed to others who are not involved in your teaching or for non-commercial research.

Yes, students registered with IBM Power Skills Academy can load software onto their personal machines for classroom (learning) and non-commercial research purposes. Students are responsible for adhering to the IBM Power Skills Academy Agreement. All assets obtained from IBM Power Skills Academy must be deleted from the student's personal machine upon graduation or leaving the academic institution.

No, IBM Power Skills Academy does not sponsor certification tests. All tests must be paid for by the individual.

If your academic institution is not a part of IBM Power Skills Academy, you will be presented with a registration form where educators and/or staff can request that their academic institution be granted access to the program. This process will on average take 7 to 10 business days to complete.

Yes. IT staff are permitted access for purposes of supporting classroom or lab environments.

No, access is not permitted from generic email addresses. Users must register with their academic institution approved email address (e.g. .edu)

All users of IBM Power Skills Academy must renew or revalidate their access every six (6) months. When it is time to revalidate, the user will be presented with a message when logging in requesting revalidation.

Educators and students may withdraw their registration with IBM Power Skills Academy at any time by emailing us and requesting that your registration be canceled. Once processed you will need to stop use of all IBM resources obtained through the program.

Yes. Adjunct faculty may register for teaching and non-commercial research use only as it relates to their academic role.

Download Questions

Educators and students can download IBM Power courseware assets through the IBM Power Skills Academy web portal at no charge. Complete these steps:
1. Go to: https://www.ibm.com/university/power/
2. Register and then log in using the academic email and password created during registration.
3. Find the courseware that you want and click on the download link. The course files will be saved to your computer as a .zip file.

1. Use a high-speed communication line to decrease the amount of time it takes to download software. Sufficient disk space to install and store the files is necessary.
2. Ensure that you have pop-up blockers disabled (pop-up blockers are often enabled by default for the Chrome browser).
3. Turn off JavaScript debugging.
