IBM i Ready The badge earner has a foundational understanding of IBM i business value, concepts, and key technologies including: the basics of application development, system administration tools, and general operating system capabilities. The earner has the skills and knowledge necessary to be proficient in basic IBM i operations on day one at companies looking for IBM i skilled employees.

Earning criteria

Basic understanding of IBM i business value, concepts, and key technologies which may be gained by taking IBM i courses available from IBM Training, IBM Power Skills Academy, COMMON, and other courses offered by the IBM i community. Pass the assessment quiz with an 80% score or better.

Audience

This badge is open to anyone but is targeted specifically to students getting ready to enter the workforce and early career professionals who want to demonstrate their knowledge.

Are you ready?

Create an IBM account (IBM Id) and a Credly account to complete the quiz and claim your badge. Note: If you are a member of the IBM Power Skills Academy, use the IBMID you created when you registered with the program (i.e. your academic email address) Apply for the badge, take the quiz, and pass with an 80% score or better. That's it!
