XQE-JDB-0025 Warning when testing datasource

Question

The following message is received when testing a Micorsoft SQL Server dynamic query mode DQM datasource in Cognos Administration>Configuration XQE-JDB-0025 Warning: JDBC driver must only be installed in '/drivers' folder

Cause

Incorrect jar file configuration

Answer

The SQL Server JDBC jar file was copied to multiple locations

..\cognos analytics directory\v5dataserver\lib
and
..\cognos analytics directory\drivers

In Cognos Analytics the jar file only needs to be copied to the ..\cognos analytics directory\drivers folder as per the instructions here:

To remove the warning please remove the jar file from ..\cognos analytics directory\v5dataserver\lib
