Problem
This document explains how to fix the error in which it states the following:
XQE-INI-0001 The Query Service was not initialized. Please ensure that XQEService.initialize() is called
Resolving The Problem
This error is occurring because of an issue with the Query Service that caused it to crash.
In order to restart the Query Service, follow these steps:
- Open the IBM Cognos Administration Console.
- Go to Status > System.
- In the Scorecard section, click the All Servers drop-down menu, point to Services and then click Query.
- From the QueryService drop-down menu, select Stop immediately.
- Once succeeded, perform the same action and click on Start
If this does not start the Query Service, then restart the Cognos Service through Cognos Configuration and observe through the Details >>> pane whether the Query Service is able to start this time.
