Question & Answer
Question
What is the latest PTF level for Workload Simulator for z/OS and OS/390 and how do I determine my current Workload Simulator PTF service level?
Answer
NOTE: Make sure you review the Preventive Sevice Planning (PSP) information here and specify WSIM110 as the Upgrade Name for the PSP bucket. You will only see the most recent nine APARs and eight PTFs in that bucket. That is because APAR PM76696, PTF UK83460 contained all previous PTFs up to the date it was shipped. All PTFs should be obtained through IBM Shopz . The PSP bucket provides the following information:
- Installation information
- Documentation changes
- General information
- Service recommendations
- Cross product dependencies
How can I receive free email notifications about product updates?

How to determine your current Workload Simulator service level
To check your current Workload Simulator service level, use this sample SMP/E job Sample SMP LIST job.txt to list all APARs, PTFs, Usermods, and functions applied to your currently installed Workload Simulator. Before submitting, first update the SMPCSI DD statement with the Consolidated Software Inventory (CSI) dataset used for your installation of Workload Simulator. Then update SMPTZN in the SET BOUNDARY statement with the target zone where Workload Simulator was installed. More information on using SMP/E can be found in the SMP/E User's Guide.
