Question
In Cognos Analytics, you can set a parameter "RoundHalfUp" to make numbers ending in 5 to round up. Sometimes the numbers will round incorrectly, why is this?
Answer
This is due to the chosen aggregation method for the column. If the column you are trying to round is set to TOTAL then it will round before any calculation occurs. If you set it to automatic, it will round correctly.
