Which OSLC artifacts are displayed in the Rhapsody browser

Question & Answer

Question

Which OSLC artifacts are displayed under the "Remote Artifact Packages" section of the IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody client?

Answer

When a Design Manager or Model Manager project area has associations to artifact containers in other ELM applications, OSLC links can be created between those remote artifacts and Rhapsody model elements. Such links can be created in the web client or the Rhapsody client. However, the Rhapsody client has some limitations when it comes to displaying:
  • Linkable artifacts from those applications (for the purposes of creating new links between model elements and those artifacts)
  • Artifacts that are already linked to model elements.
If you are using Rhapsody with Rhapsody Design Manager and:
  • Configuration Management is not enabled in the associated project areas: Only RM requirements and containers are displayed.
  • Configuration Management is enabled and the model is in a GC component: Only RM requirements and containers are displayed.
If you are using Rhapsody with Rhapsody Model Manager and:
  • Configuration Management is not enabled in the associated project areas: RM (requirements), CCM (work items) and QM (test cases) and containers are displayed.
  • Configuration Management is enabled and the model is in a GC: RM (requirements), CCM (work items) and QM (test cases) and containers are displayed.
