Where can you get the latest version of the GSKIT for Caching Proxy?

Question & Answer

Question

Caching Proxy fix packs do not contain any updates to the IBM GSKIT. GSKIT updates have to be downloaded separately.

Answer

The latest GSKit for the Caching Proxy can be obtained from the following IBM HTTP Server interim fix:

https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?source=httpfix

This points to an export controlled site (you need to log in) that GSKit fixes are distributed from. After selecting your Operating System platform, you can select from the list of GSKit fixes available.

When selecting a GSKit update for use for the Caching Proxy, please ensure that you select an update intended for IBM HTTP Server version 6.1. The IBM HTTP Server version 6.1 GSKit update is a global fix applicable to the GSKit used by the Caching Proxy. It is recommended to download the latest GSKit version available for IBM HTTP Server version 6.1.

Note that IBM HTTP Server version 7 GSKit fix is a local copy of GSKit that goes in the IBM HTTP Server directory and can only be used by IBM HTTP Server.
