Troubleshooting
Problem
What do the entries in the PLT_DB_POOL table signify in case of a single schema installation?
Symptom
The PLT_DB_POOL table contains the
database schema credentials of the user specified during installation. This is
true in case of a single-schema installation as well.
Sometimes,
the application references the PLT_DB_POOL table for the database user
credentials, instead of the jdbc.properties or customer_overrides.properties
file (if applicable).
There could be a scenario, in which the user points
the application to a different database user after installation through the
customer_overrides.properties or modifying the sandbox.cfg file.
If the DB user credentials in the
PLT_DB_POOL table are incorrect, or the user does not exist then the
application will hang trying to connect to the database.
Resolving The Problem
To avoid such performance issues, ensure
that in case of a single schema installation, the database user credentials
specified in the properties files and the PLT_DB_POOL table match.
In case of
a single schema installation instance, the database user credentials as
mentioned in the properties file and those in the PLT_DB_POOL table should be
the same. One should synchronize them, if they do not match.
