What is the difference between SDL-PR import and CIF import?

Question & Answer

Question

What is the difference between SDL-PR import and CIF import?

Answer

SDL-PR import does not preserve the graphical layout of the SDL specifications. The diagrams are created by TAU using its default settings.

CIF (Common Interchange Format for SDL) importer also supports import of graphical information from SDL specifications. Importing CIF preserves as much as possible of the graphical layout such as positioning and size of symbols, line and text attributes, so that the generated UML models and presentation elements look familiar to the user, as seen in the original SDL diagrams.
