WebSphere Application Server: The Default Java Persistence API settings for Dynamic Clusters in the administration console produces an error

Problem

Selecting []Servers > Clusters > Dynamic clusters > []cluster_name[] > Server template > Default Java Persistence API settings[] displays the following error on the Default Java Persistence API settings page: []CWWJP8807E: No target object or parameters have been specified. []

Resolving The Problem

You can install a fix pack for Version 9 to resolve this issue. Refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27004980

If you do not install a fix pack and you want to resolve the problem, follow these steps:
1) Create an application server.
2) Select Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers > server_name.
3) Click Default Java Persistence API setting > Container Services > Default Java Persistence API Setting.
4) Set the JPA specification to the specification level for the dynamic cluster that you create in step 5, and apply the changes.
5) Create a dynamic cluster with your new server as the server template.
