Resolving The Problem

View Server Version
1. Click the instance node in the left pane under Servers for the server whose version
you want to view. A dialog displays in the right pane showing the tabs associated
with this instance.
2. Click the Monitoring tab.
3. Click the Versions tab. The version data for this instance is displayed.
For e.g., Weblogic Version: WebLogic Server 6.1 SP2 12/18/2001 11:13:46 #154529
This also shows java and OS version
JDK Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
JDK Version: 1.3.1_01
Operating System: SunOS
OS Version: 5.8

Alternatively
on the weblogic install check the log.txt under log directory - it should give you the BEA application server version information including the history .
