Cause
The data files that represent the selected item are corrupted and need to be restored from backup
Resolving The Problem
Data problems could be the result of a failed transaction update. Somtimes it is possible to use the existing files to fix the issue; otherwise you may need to restore from backup a known good instance of the data.
The data directory may contain files with one of the following extensions:
.dtn
.dtb
.dtc
Steps to resolve this problem:
- Stop the DOORS database server
- Browse to the path specified in the error message
- Rename the file with .dtn extension to .dtc
Note: if the problem file exists with the extension .dtc rename it to .org
- If there is no file .dtn then copy the .dtb file and save it to extension .dtc
- Start the DOORS server and attempt to open the module again
If renaming the existing data files does not resolve the issue you will need to restore a backup of the directory from a previous date prior to the corruption.
