Abstract

This document lists the configuration limits for all IBM Storage Virtualize Systems (IBM FlashSystem and SVC) using version 8.7.2.x

  • Total FlashCopy bitmap allowance and volume capacity includes legacy FlashCopy, snapshots, clone volumes and thin-clone volumes, where supported.
  • IBM recommends that the sum of volume copies and snapshots in a system should not exceed 50,000 when using standard pools. Data reduction pools are recommended for larger configurations.
