Using the Labor Inventory Location

Here are the steps:

Create a Labor Inventory Location:

Go to the Labor application, Go to Select Action, “Create Labor Inventory Location” and filled in all the GL account fields:

1a. Here is the process using the Inventory Usage application:

Change status to complete. Save.

2a. Do an advanced search in the Inventory App. For the location of Finley's Van:

3a. We can see the Brake Shoe Kit we just transferred:



4a. I can issue it (to a WO for example) in the Inventory Usage application:

5a. Delete the “=STOREROOM” above to find Finley's Van.

6a. Issue to a WO (Usage type is ISSUE) , change status to COMP:

7a. I can also TRANSFER it from Finley's Van to a storeroom, (Issue Type is TRANSFER):

You can also do the above in the issues and transfers application as follows:

1b. Go to the Issues and Transfers application:

2b. You cannot use the issue tab, you need to use the Transfer Out Tab:

3b. It gives me the option to Transfer to the location of Finley's van. Save.

4b. To view the items in Finley's van look in Inventory :

5b. To view all items in Finley's van: In Inventory, advanced search, storeroom=finleyvan:

6b. I can see all items in the location:

7b. Click on the first item:

8b. I can view the Inventory transactions for the item from the select action menu:

9b. Select Action, Issue Current Item – I can issue the item from Finley's Van to a WO:

10b. The Item is issued to the WO and the balance in Finley's van has dropped:

11b. I can transfer an item from the Van back to a storeroom:

12b. The balance decreases:
