Question

What do you need to know if you plan to use IBM® WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and IBM® HTTP Server (IHS) with IBM® Rational ClearCase and IBM® Rational ClearQuest?

Cause

IBM® Rational ClearCase and IBM® Rational ClearQuest web components cannot be installed until IBM® WebSphere Application Server and IBM® HTTP Server are installed.

Answer

IBM® WebSphere Application Server and IBM® HTTP Server must be installed prior to the deployment of IBM® Rational ClearCase and IBM® Rational ClearQuest web components.

The following table shows the supported configurations of IBM® WebSphere Application Server, IBM® HTTP Server, IBM® Rational ClearCase, and IBM® Rational ClearQuest.

IBM Rational product version IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server V8.5.5 IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server V9.0.5
ClearCase® Version 10.0.0 Supported starting from 8.5.5.21 and up.
