User cannot login to IBM Maximo Manage due to an error “BMXAA7901E - You cannot log in at this time. Contact the system administrator.”

Troubleshooting


Problem

User cannot login to Maximo Manage when any user, for example, MAXADMIN is blocked due to too many failed login attempts and the mxe.sec.IPblock.MatchBoth property is set to 0.

This error also prevents Maximo Manage from loading or rendering.

Maximo Manage 8.6

Diagnosing The Problem

Check whether any records in the LOGINBLOCK table with CLIENTHOST column are UNKNOWN and if the mxe.sec.IPblock.MatchBoth property is set to 0.

Resolving The Problem

Change the mxe.sec.IPblock.MatchBoth property value to 1 and clean up the records in the LOGINBLOCK table. Then, restart the maximo server bundle pods
