What is the purpose of each of the URLs mentioned in network requirements of QRadar EDR system requirements?

QRadar EDR requires access to the following URLs:

  • access.redhat.com
  • api.openshift.com
  • www.ibm.com
  • cdn.reaqta.cloud
  • feeder.reaqta.io

QRadar EDR On-Prem is deployed on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) cluster. OpenShift Container Platform requires access to the sites mentioned in the requirements document for performing its functions. Most of these URLs  are registries, which are used to download the required images for underlying Cloud Pak for Security, EDR, and common services.
URL Description
access.redhat.com Hosts all the container images that are stored on the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog, including core container images. This URL hosts a signature store, that a container client requires for verifying images that are pulled from registry.access.redhat.com.
registry.redhat.io Provides core container images
quay.io Provides core container images
docker.io Provides core container images
cp.icr.io Provides core container images
icr.io Provides core container images
www.ibm.com Official IBM website
cdn.reaqta.cloud Required for anti-malware component of EDR
feeder.reaqta.io Required for Hive cloud component of EDR.
