Download the latest Prerequisite Scanner configuration files for IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact 7.1.0.

The IBM Prerequisite Scanner tool includes configuration files for Netcool/Impact up to Impact 7.1.0.5 only. For more fix pack releases, you can download a complete set of configuration files from this page.

Important Notice

Usage of the Prerequisite Scanner is deprecated. For information on software requirements and compatibility reports, use the Software Product Compatibility Reports tool.
Procedure
  1. Download the attachment to the target system and extract the contents to a temporary directory.
  2. Move the configuration file for your operating system and Impact release to the configuration directory, config_files_home.
    • Windows
      /1.2.0.18-Tivoli-PRS-Windows-fp0001/Windows/
    • UNIX
      /1.2.0.18-Tivoli-PRS-Unix-fp0001/UNIX_Linux/
  3. Run the Prerequisite Scanner tool.
     
Troubleshooting

If the scanner reports the following error:
  
prereq_checker.sh "NCI 07010027" detail

PRS execution is in progress, it may take some time ...

NCI - Tivoli Netcool/Impact [version 07010027]:

CTGPR2503I: [NCI 07010027] No checks apply to this product on this machine.
Check whether the configuration (.cfg) file for the requested version exists under the config_file_home directory.
For example, /1.2.0.18-Tivoli-PRS-Unix-fp0001/UNIX_Linux/NCI_07010027.cfg
Note on RHEL 6 and glib dependency
The Prerequisite Scanner reports a failure with Impact 7.1.0.22 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Note on SUSE 15
The Prerequisite Scanner reports a failure with the OS Version for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 or later. This failure can be ignored as SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 is supported by Netcool/Impact.
Note on Windows 11 Enterprise
The Prerequisite Scanner incorrectly reports the OS Version as Windows 10. This issue can be ignored as Windows 11 Enterprise is supported by Netcool/Impact.
Note on RHEL 9
The Prerequisite Scanner reports execution errors with the awk command when it checks the OS Version for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 9.0. These errors can be ignored as it does not affect the overall execution.
