Abstract

Update device certificate for iOS devices configured with Persona policy

In 10.66 release, MaaS360 extends update device certificate option for Persona policy-managed (SPS) iOS devices. An option to update device cert is available only for iOS devices with Managed Type as Enrolled or Activated.

How to update device certificate for iOS enrolled/activated devices with Persona policy?

  1. From Device Summary > More, click Update Device Cert for iOS devices that are managed by Persona policy.   

 

  1. Choose from the following update device certificate actions and click Continue.
  • Generate a new Device Certificate from Certificate Authority.
  • Republish the existing Device Certificate to the device.

Viewing an example to republish existing Device Certificate to the device

Result: Device Certificate is updated on iOS enrolled/activated device. Secure Mail certificates and Secure Browser certificates on the device are updated.

Note: If any MDM policy certificate exist on the iOS device then, MDM certificates are also updated during Device Certificate update action. 

What to-do next: You can view the update Device Certificate action for a device recorded as follows:

  • Generate new device certificate action in Certificates page and History page.
  • Republish existing device certificate action in Certificates page.

Note: For Certificates and History page to be updated with recent Device Certificate updates, ensure that MaaS360 agent on the iOS device is launched.
