Unable to render to PDF files

Troubleshooting


Problem

The FileNet Rendition Engine is unable to render a TIF or other Document Types to PDF.

Symptom

The BusinessServiceRender.log shows the following errors:

Cause

The application/plugin necessary to render the document to PDF is not installed on the Rendition Engine server.

Resolving The Problem

Install the associated rendering plugin/application onto the server:

  1. Access Domain Manager

  2. Click Content Type

  3. Note the plugin associated with the file extension and verify it is installed on the Rendition Engine
