"Unable to find feature.xml" Error in Workbench

Troubleshooting


Problem

We are seeing the following error in Workbench’s Error tab: Unable to find feature.xml in directory: C:\Initiate\Workbench9.7.0 \features\com.cloveretl.gui.license_2.9.7.N000000003.jar We have tried re-installing and upgrading Workbench, but still get the same error.

Cause

During installation the file may not have been available due to Operation System file/folder permissions.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue open Workbench and:

1 – Click on the Window file menu and select Preferences. This will open a Preferences window.

2 – Expand the Java then Installed JREs view.

3 – Click on the _jvm JRE and click the Edit button.

4 – Click Add External Jars… button and locate the file/jar.

5 – Click Finish and OK.

This will remove the error from the Error.
