Why am I unable to edit attribute types in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) DOORS?
Cause
Open the DOORS Module
Go to : Edit-> Types Types are listed (for a module)
Click on one type-> Edit is not available
Answer
The IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management DOORS allows you to make changes to the attribute types. However, there are the following scenarios where this option will not be available or is grayed out:
- If the module is configured under Change Management control
- If the attribute type is already being used in the attribute definition
- If user does not have appropriate access permission to modify or change attribute type
- If the attribute type is already being used in the attribute definition
- If user does not have appropriate access permission to modify or change attribute type
