Problem
This tech note describes a solution to the issue where the error UDA-TBL-004 appears when trying to run a report. This error occurs even when there is plenty of space in the temp folder for files. The system registers that the folder has insufficient space even though it has enough space for the files.
Symptom
Symptoms of the issue:
- the report generates two different temporary UDA* files in the temporary path.
- User is able to create a file larger than 1Gb in the operating system.
- Reports fail when temp files get larger than 1GB even though the disk space is larger than that.
- Error may only occur in production environment, not in development or training environments.
Resolving The Problem
The two possible fixes that are known to solve the issue:
- Delete the entire contents of the temporary folder path.
- Rename the folder path e.g cognos/BI10/c10_32/
temp to cognos/BI10/c10_32/ temp_new
