IBM Support

TSAMP uninstall in a CAA clustered environment

Question & Answer

Question

Cannot un-install TSAMP because domain is online

Answer

To un-install the TSAMP product, the domain must be offline. A peer domain can be offlined using the command :
stoprpdomain <domain_name>

However, the above command will not do anything (no errors either) if the domain is a CCA cluster. In this case, you would need to run the following commands ...

1) First stop PowerHA service on both nodes:
smitty clstop

2) Then stop the CAA cluster:
/usr/sbin/clctrl -stop -n <cluster_name> -a

where <cluster_name> can be determined by running:
/usr/sbin/lscluster -c | grep "Cluster Name: "

Now you should be able to proceed with the TSAMP un-install:
/opt/IBM/tsamp/sam/uninst/uninstallSAM
