Problem
Tivoli Event Manager receives this message referencing the Guardium appliance:
Symptom
Tivoli Event Manager receives this message referencing the Guardium appliance:
<Tivoli Event Manager Name> *OFFLINE <Guardium appliance>:LZ
Cause
TSM configuration file loaded to Guardium is obsolete, as it was generated when the old/previous Tivoli Event Manager name was in use.
Resolving The Problem
- If you want to keep using TSM in Guardium for either Archives or Backups:
1.- Obtain the current for these files from your TSM administrator:
- dsm.sys file
- if the dsm.sys includes multiple servername sections, get also the
current dsm.opt file
2.- import both files to Guardium from the cli:
import tsm config user@host:path/dsm.sys
import tsm config user@host:path/dsm.opt
where host is a system where the file is at
user is the user to log to that system where the file is at
path is the path to the file on that system
- If you do NOT want to use TSM in Guardium for neither Archive nor
Backup functionality, disable TSM as follow from cli:
- store storage-system tsm backup off
store storage-system tsm archive off
