Question & Answer
Question
Can I create a generic threshold using a text value from a MIB?
Answer
Yes, you'll need to use the Advanced Settings on the Trigger and Clear Threshold tabs and use LIKE/NOT LIKE to check the values of the variables. Here is an example using sysLocation:
( eval(text,'&SNMP.VALUE.sysLocation') not like 'Bldg123' )
Using similar syntax for your variable should allow you to threshold on it.
