Cause
Is there any risk in environment after changing the OMS Console admin password ?
Answer
There is no risk in changing default admin password. It is recommended that default password has to be changed to a stronger password.
The password can be changed for 'admin' from Application Platform -> Security -> Users (in DEFAULT org) and save it.
One may use this new password to login to different applications like smcfs, sbc, call center and same while running any API through the API tester.
In case of any third party software are trying to connect to the OMS application, for example a REST service being connected to the OMS through basic authentication, then here one may have to manually update the password. Also the new password needs to be updated if it is being used in service or UE. Whereas, for OOB components manual update of password is not needed.
The OMS application by default does not allow to update the existing admin userid but you may create a new user and allot it all the privileges present for current admin user.
