Test log retains script arguments from previous run compound test

Troubleshooting


Problem

When you run an IBM Rational Test Workbench Web UI Tester compound test, you see the concatenation of the script arguments of previous executions and the current execution.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Make a compound test of three IBM Rational Functional Tester scripts. The compound test starts the three test consecutively.

  2. To the first test, you add script argument Message 1.

  3. To the second test, you add script argument Message 2.

  4. To the third test, you add script argument Message

  5. 3.Run the compound test.

  6. Open the test log.



In the test log, you see the following messages.

  • For the first run: Message 1.
  • For the second run: Message 1 Message 2.
  • For the third run: Message 1, Message 2, Message 3,


EXPECTED

  • For the first run: Message 1.
  • For the second run: Message 2.
  • For the third run: Message 3,

Version 9.0.1 shows expected behaviour.








Cause

This compound test issue is a defect APAR PI75105.

Resolving The Problem

WORKAROUND

Use version 9.0.1.
