"TERM_RUNLIMIT: job killed after reaching LSF run time limit. Exited with exit code 140."

Troubleshooting

Problem

"TERM_RUNLIMIT: job killed after reaching LSF run time limit. Exited with exit code 140."

Resolving The Problem

Job exists with the message: "TERM_RUNLIMIT: job killed after reaching LSF run time limit. Exited with exit code 140."

This occurs because the job's run time (defined as absolute run time or cpu run time) exceeds the run time limit you define with RUNLIMIT in lsbqueues or with bsub -W.

To change this:

1. Do one of the following

· Set run time to calculate as absolute run time.

Set ABS_RUNLIMIT = Y in lsb.applications

· Set run time to calculate as cpu run time.

Remove Y from ABS_RUNLIMIT = in lsb.applications

2. Do one of the following

· Raise the RUNLIMIT value in lsb.queues

· Raise the runlimit value after bsub -W
