TCP/IP port numbers of Q STATUS and Q OPT differ

Troubleshooting

Problem

Tivoli Storage Manager Server commands Q OPT and Q STATUS are showing different TCP/IP port numbers.

Resolving The Problem

On a Tivoli Storage Manager Server the TCPPORT numbers of Q STATUS and Q OPT do not match, for example:

The output of Q STATUS shows: Server TCP/IP port number: 1500
The output of Q OPT shows: TCPPort 1502

The TCP/IP port number reported by Q STATUS is the server low level address, which can be set by the SET SERVERLLADDRESS command, used in conjunction with the DEFINE SERVER command with CROSSDEFINE YES for server-to-server connections.

The TCPPORT reported by Q OPTION is the TCP/IP port number which the server listens on for client connections. This is set by the TCPPORT option in the server options file.
