System Manager fails to start (IllegalArgumentException)

Troubleshooting


Problem

The System Manager does not launch with a pop up saying problems during startup.

Symptom






As mentioned in the pop up the .log of System Manager can be found under :

<ICS_install>\Tools\WSWB212\Workspace\.metadata .

Following is the text of the IllegalArgumentException exception found in the .log causing the failure:

Cause

The problem is caused by a corrupted cache.properties file in <ICS_install>\Tools\WSWB212\Workspace\.metadata.

Resolving The Problem

Remove the cache.properties file from the workspace and restart System Manager.
