Switch number
Switch description
1

Boot block:

  • When the switch is in the OFF position, this is normal mode.
  • When the switch is in the ON position, this enables the system to recover if the BIOS code becomes damaged.
2

Clear CMOS:

  • When the switch is in the OFF position, this is normal mode. This keeps the CMOS data.
  • When this switch is toggled to ON position, this clears the CMOS data, which clears the power-on password and administrator password.

Notes:

1. Before you change any switch settings or move any jumpers, turn off the server; then, disconnect all power cords and external cables.

2. Any system-board switch or jumpers blocks that are not shown in the illustrations in this document are reservered.
