How to configure IBM Rational DOORS client to point to different IBM Rational DOORS Database?
Answer
For IBM Rational DOORS Client to point to a different Rational DOORS database, please try the following steps:
- Create a Rational DOORS Client shortcut on your desktop by right-click on Rational DOORS icon and select "Create a Shortcut"
- Right Click on the new Rational DOORS shortcut and select ‘Properties’
- In the Target field, under ‘Shortcut’ tab, point to the different database by adding -d 36677@<servername> switch
For example: "C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.2\bin\doors.exe" -d port@<database server name> - Save the changes
- Now, double clicking the newly created Rational DOORS Client shortcut will open the new Rational DOORS database.
Note: A Rational DOORS 9.2 client cannot use a pre-9.0 database server.
