STRGMIRSTS Command
This command begins the processing of monitoring and storing global mirror replication statistics (for DS8000-type storage).
This command supports multiple CSE environments on the same partition, in the same or separate output files. The command is valid for both IASP-based and full system-based environments for DS8000-type global mirror.
Variations of the showgmir DSCLI command are utilized to gather global mirror replication statistics. These statistics are stored in the file specified on the command.
Note: This command should be executed in a batch job for continuous monitoring.
Parameters
ENV - Name of the CSE environment. This must be a valid DS8000-based GMIR environment in either QZRDHASM or QZRDIASH5 library.
INTERVAL - Time (in minutes) between samples. This can be any value between 1 and 1440 (24 hours). The default value is 15.
OUTF - The database file and library to which the output is directed. If the file does not exist, the file is created in the library specified. The default value is QZRDPWRHA/GMIRSTS
CLEAR - Specifies whether or not to clear previously collected data. (*NO=do not clear previously collected statistics; *YES=clear previously collected statistics). The default value is *NO.
THRESHOLD - Specifies the number of seconds the calculated recovery point must exceed to trigger a warning message. If triggered, message GMS1011 will be sent to the specified message queue.
Values may be between 1 and 86400 (24 hours). The default value is 900 (15 minutes).
MSGQ - The message queue and library to which the "recovery point threshold exceeded" warning message is sent. The default value is QSYS/QSYSOPR.
Note: Any message sent to QSYSOPR will also send a message to QHST (history log)
Note: For builds of Smart Assist after 7/26/17, the STRGMIRSTS command will point to program STRGMIR42, to be compatible with IASP Manager 4.2 (and above), which utilizes a credentials list for log-in to the storage. The command can be changed to point to the older program, STRGMIRSTS, if any issues/concerns exist in using the newer program.
