Question
The Sterling Control Center Bad Return Code rule did not catch a process that failed on Connect:Direct z/OS no alert was issued.
Answer
The process on Connect:Direct z/OS failed with message SVSJ013I and a Return Code of x'80B37000' which converted to -2135724032 in Control Center. This is due to z/OS including the abend in code in the return code field along with the normal 8.
Create a new 'Bad Return Code Neg' rule to check for a Return Code of less then zero to catch those processes that fail with an abend on z/OS.
