Summary

To change credentials of schedules to another user, you can use the advanced content manager parameter CM.DeploymentUpdateScheduleCredential and set the value to True.

Steps

Steps:
  • Create a deployment export of the content in question.
  • Enable the advanced content manager parameter CM.DeploymentUpdateScheduleCredential and set the value to True(see detailed steps below).
  • Import the deployment into the same environment with the content manager parameter enabled.

Steps to add the advanced content manager parameter to the settings:
  1. In IBM Cognos Administration, on the Status tab, click System.
  2. In the Scorecard pane, from the change view menu of the current view, click Services > Content Manager. Tip: The current view is one of All servers, All server groups, All dispatchers, or Services.
  3. From the ContentManagerService Actions menu, click Set properties.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. Click Edit next to Advanced Settings.
  6. Select Override the settings acquired from the parent entry.
  7. In the Parameter column, type the parameter name, CM.DeploymentUpdateScheduleCredential.
  8. In the Value column, type the associated value for the setting, True.
  9. Click OK.
  10. On the Set properties page, click OK.

Additional Information


Please note that the user taking ownership will need to have access to do deployments in Cognos Administration. This access can be revoked after the deployment is done.
