Abstract
Sometimes, in a WebSphere Process Server installation, certain tasks must be performed regularly, for example every hour. One solution would be to model a BPEL process containing, for example, a repeat-until structured activity iterating infinitely once an hour.
This solution has some drawbacks, for example the process may create an increasing amount of database records in the runtime database which can only be removed after the process has been completed.
As alternative, a solution based on the WebSphere Application Server scheduler is presented here.
