Troubleshooting
Problem
After upgrading to Cognos Analytics 11.0.5+, accessing Cognos via SSO displays an "Invalid Login response" error.
Diagnosing The Problem
IIS settings shows the /ibmcognos/cgi-bin application which should not be there and this happens when there is an analytics/cgi-bin/web.config file that has not been deleted.
Resolving The Problem
Steps:
· Open IIS Manager.
· Expand the SSO alias name.
· First delete the cgi-bin folder and then sso and the aliasname applications from IIS.
· Delete all the web.config files from /webcontent, webcontent/bi and cgi-bin/ directories of your Cognos Gateway install.
· Run the automated script to configure IIS: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg22000097 (Note: Make sure you set the ‘set enable_SSO’ option to true before running the script)
· Restart IIS Manager.
