SRCB7005122 During D IPL

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document provides information on D mode IPL failures with SRCB7005122.

Resolving The Problem

D mode IPLs can fail with SRCB7005122 if the IOA or the optical device is not set to the correct address. Refer to the following:

7210 optical device

Use address 0
5702 IOAUse port 0
571A IOAUse port 0
5736 IOA Use port 0

To resolve the problem, do the following:
oShut down the failed partition.
oChange the incorrect port or address (This may require a hardware action, connecting to a different port on an IOA or removing a device for example.).
oRestart the D IPL.
oIf a tape drive is also on the IOA, it may have to be removed (not simply powered off) in order to recover from B7005122 on a D IPL.
Depending on card orientation, port 0 is generally either the left-most or bottom port on the adapter.

Note: If installing the system from tape, the IBASE_01 CD is still required to enable the selection of the alternate installation device from the 'Install Licensed Internal Code' screen for tape.
