Shipment Log Table Columns

By default the Shipment Log tabdisplays the following columns:

SID Number

Shows the shipment identifier of the freight.

Order Number

Shows the order number that is assigned to the shipment. Ashipment can contain one or more orders.

Status

Shows the shipment status such as Departed or Arrivedand the location where the event occurred.

Last Received Status

Shows the last shipment status event that Sterling TMS received forthe shipment.

This column is designed to show the latest statusthe shipper or carrier submitted even if the status entries are submittedout of order.

For example:
  1. A shipment arrives at the destination and the freight is unloaded.
  2. The shipper submits the Unloaded statusfirst and the Arrived status second to SterlingTMS.
  3. The Last Received Status column shows the Arrived statuseven though the shipment was unloaded after it arrived.
Note: The Last Received Status columnmay display a different event than the Status column.The Status column follows the correct shippingworkflow and does not display events out of order based on when theywere submitted.
Destination

Shows the location where the shipment is being delivered.

Destination City

Shows the city of the destination.

Destination State

Shows the state or province of the destination.

Planned Departure

Shows the start and end of the planned departure window.

Ifthe shipment contains multiple orders this is the planned departureof the first order.

Pickup Appt

Shows the date and time of the pickup appointment.

Ifthe shipment contains multiple orders this is the pickup appointmentfor the first order.

Arrival at Pickup

Shows the date and time the carrier arrived at the origin topick up the shipment.

Planned Arrival

Shows the start and end of the planned arrival window.

Ifthe shipment contains multiple orders this is the planned arrivalof the last order.

Arrival

Shows the date and time the carrier arrived at the destinationto deliver the shipment.

Carrier

Shows the name of the carrier that is assigned to the shipment.

SCAC

Shows the carrier SCAC that is assigned to the shipment.

Estimated Distance

Shows the estimated distance from the origin to the final destination:

  • For most shipments the Estimated Distance columnshows the distance returned by the mileage source (such as PC Mileror MileMaker).
  • Sterling TMS displaysan E next to the distance if Sterling TMS calculatedthe direct (Euclidean) distance from the origin to the destination.The Euclidean distance which does not measure actual routes is onlyused if PC Miler or MileMaker cannot return a distance.
  • Sterling TMS displays (s) nextto the distance if the carrier edited the shipment and specified adifferent distance.
Arrival at Drop

Shows the date and time the shipment was delivered to the destination.

Departure at Drop

Shows the date and time the carrier departed from the destinationafter making the delivery.
